The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that anyone with a valid visa, regardless of the type (personal, family, transit, work, or e-visa), can now conveniently perform Umrah.
Recently, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah tweeted:
Visitors can effortlessly perform Umrah from any location and with any entry visa, ensuring ease and peace of mind.#Makkah_and_Madinah_Eagerly_Await_You pic.twitter.com/ySs6rgLWns

They also mention that to ensure a smooth experience, pilgrims are advised to use the Nusuk app. This app allows you to obtain your Umrah permit and schedule your visit for the rituals at the Grand Mosque in Mecca. The Nusuk platform goes beyond permits – it can also help with booking accommodation for your trip to Mecca and Medina, Islam’s two holiest cities.
These changes are part of a series of recent initiatives by Saudi Arabia to make Umrah more accessible for international Muslims. These include extending the Umrah visa validity from 30 to 90 days, opening up all travel ports (land, air, and sea), and removing the requirement for female pilgrims to have a male guardian. Additionally, expats residing in Gulf Cooperation Council countries or holding Schengen, US, or UK visas can now book their Umrah appointments through the Nusuk app before even arriving in Saudi Arabia.
