The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has initiated a four-month-long summer campaign dubbed “Saudi Summer is Next Door” in seven regions across Saudi Arabia. The program presents over 550 tourism products and 150 special offers for families and different interests.
The event was very ceremonious and prominent personalities and media members were in attendance. Some of the summer getaways include Aseer, Al Baha, Taif, the Red Sea, Jeddah, Riyadh, and AlUla. This year will witness the continuation of the Jeddah Season and the initiation of the Aseer Season.
It also covers major events such as the Esports World Cup and boxing matches. The Minister of Tourism mentioned the increase in tourism in Saudi Arabia and its ranking as number one on the UN World Tourism list.
The CEO of STA drew attention to the fact of different temperatures within the country during the summer and cooler highlands. Some of them include free child tickets with airlines, tax-free shopping, special hotel offers, and private beaches.
The program’s promotional motto – Saudi Summer is Next Door – encourages the tourist to discover many places of interest in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In order to make the program successful and satisfy the tourists, the STA is collaborating with the private sector.
Tourism in Saudi Arabia has also become easier with the eVisa for 66 countries, cheap visas, more flights, and the resident visa for GCC countries. Also, the number of hotel rooms is projected to rise by 25,000 this year.
