Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has updated fees for key services, including Iqama renewal and exit/reentry visas, for 2025. These changes were announced through the Absher Business platform.

Key Fee Updates:

  • Iqama Renewal: SR51.75
  • Exit/Reentry Visa Extension: SR103.5
  • Final Exit: SR70
  • Iqama Issuance: SR51.75
  • Employee Report: SR28.75
  • Amend Expatriate Passport Information: SR69

Absher Business clarified that these fees are for value-added services specifically for using the Absher Business platform. They are not included in the employer’s annual package purchase. This means utilizing the platform for these services will incur these additional charges.

The Absher platform has been actively expanding its services. A notable recent addition is a tool that enables host persons to report instances of absconding individuals who entered the Kingdom on a guest visa. This new feature aims to enhance security and improve immigration procedures.

Importance of Iqama Renewal

Foreign workers in Saudi Arabia must renew their Iqama promptly upon expiration. Failure to do so can lead to significant legal and administrative issues.

What is an Iqama?

The Iqama is the official residency permit or visa issued to foreign nationals, including Pakistanis, allowing them to reside and work within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.5

Iqama Renewal Deadline

Saudi authorities have emphasized the importance of timely Iqama renewal. Foreign nationals are required to renew their Iqama within three days of its expiration date to maintain legal residency status in the country.
