The United Nations (UN) has chosen Saudi Arabia as the host for the 19th session of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF). The event will be held from December 15th to 19th, 2024, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh.

The IGF is an annual gathering that brings together stakeholders from governments, the private sector, civil society, and academia to discuss critical issues surrounding Internet governance. These discussions focus on developing collaborative solutions to address the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving digital landscape.

This year’s forum in Riyadh is particularly significant as Saudi Arabia actively pursues advancements in communications technology and digital governance. This aligns perfectly with Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s ambitious plan to diversify its economy and become a leader in the digital age.

The IGF offers a valuable platform for Saudi Arabia to share its experiences and collaborate with international partners to shape a more secure, inclusive, and prosperous digital future for all.
