Jeddah Municipality has successfully inaugurated the first sandy beach in North Abhar, spanning an impressive 17,640 square meters. This significant step aligns with the municipality’s overarching vision to revitalize its waterfronts and establish a network of exceptional public sandy beaches.
Since its grand opening, the beach has witnessed an enthusiastic influx of visitors and tourists, highlighting the municipality’s unwavering commitment to providing free, secure, and well-equipped spaces for the public to enjoy swimming and a diverse range of water activities.
The beach prioritizes visitor safety with highly-trained lifeguards certified by the Saudi Life Saving Federation, ensuring swift and effective responses to any emergencies. To further enhance safety and rescue operations, marine surveillance towers have been strategically installed.
Sustainability is at the forefront with the implementation of solar-powered lights, minimizing environmental impact while providing eco-friendly illumination. Informative signage is strategically placed throughout the beach to guide visitors on rules, regulations, and operating hours.
The municipality is actively developing two additional beaches in North Abhar, with one covering 10,320 square meters and the other encompassing a substantial 75,000 square meters. These upcoming projects promise to further enrich the recreational offerings and enhance the overall appeal of the North Abhar coastline.
