NEOM, a futuristic city being developed in Saudi Arabia, has unveiled its first physical showcase: Sindalah, a luxurious island destination. Announced by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in December 2022, Sindalah opening marks a significant milestone in NEOM’s development.
The construction of Sindalah, a massive undertaking involving 30,000 workers, has been completed in just two years. This achievement underscores Saudi Arabia’s ambition to bolster its tourism sector, as outlined in Vision 2030. Sindalah aims to attract visitors from around the world, particularly yacht owners from Europe, Saudi Arabia, and the GCC.
Located in the Red Sea, five kilometers off the NEOM coastline, Sindalah spans 840,000 square meters. It offers a range of luxury amenities, including world-class dining, shopping, and entertainment options. The island’s pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and diverse marine life make it an ideal destination for water sports enthusiasts.
The centerpiece of Sindalah is its state-of-the-art marina, capable of accommodating up to 86 yachts. The marina’s yacht club provides a luxurious setting for yachting enthusiasts, offering a full suite of services, including docking facilities, offshore buoys, and yacht management.
NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr expressed his pride in the successful completion of Sindalah, highlighting its role in shaping the future of luxury tourism in Saudi Arabia. He emphasized the project’s alignment with Vision 2030 and its potential to drive economic diversification.
As NEOM continues to develop, Sindalah serves as a testament to the ambitious vision of creating a sustainable and innovative city. With its stunning natural beauty, world-class amenities, and commitment to environmental conservation, Sindalah is poised to become a premier destination for luxury travelers.
