Riyadh, January 7, 2025, – In a groundbreaking move, WWE, in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced that Riyadh Season will host the 39th edition of the prestigious “Royal Rumble” event in January 2026. This marks a historic moment as it will be the first time this iconic event takes place outside of North America.

The announcement was made during the first episode of “Monday Night RAW,” broadcast live on Netflix from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, United States.

Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the GEA Board of Directors, highlighted the significance of this achievement. “The Kingdom’s hosting of the Royal Rumble event reflects the GEA’s unwavering commitment to attracting the world’s largest and most impactful entertainment events to Saudi Arabia,” Al-Sheikh stated. He further emphasized that this collaboration with WWE aims to elevate the Kingdom’s entertainment sector and deliver transformative experiences that captivate global audiences.

The Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s most celebrated annual events, featuring thrilling matches for both male and female superstars. Participants engage in a unique elimination format, striving to outlast their opponents and earn the coveted opportunity to compete for a championship at the grandest stage of them all, “WrestleMania.”

The announcement solidifies the successful and growing partnership between WWE and Saudi Arabia. This collaboration has already yielded record-breaking events such as “Crown Jewel,” “Elimination Chamber,” “King and Queen of the Ring,” “Night of Champions,” and live broadcasts of “SmackDown” and “Monday Night RAW.”
