Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is set to welcome the Global Champions Arabians Tour (GCAT) later this year, joining a series of events held around the world. The specific date is yet to be announced, but the event will be hosted by the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation (SAEF).

This news comes after Doha successfully hosted the first leg of the GCAT circuit. Following Riyadh, the tour will travel to Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Cannes, Rome, Paris, and Valkenswaard in the Netherlands.

SAEF President, Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd, expressed his gratitude to the Saudi leadership for their unwavering support of equestrian sports. He believes this support has positioned the Kingdom as a “global focal point” for equestrian activities, showcasing diverse events and solidifying Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading destination in the equestrian world. He also extended his appreciation to the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, for his continuous backing.

The SAEF anticipates that hosting the GCAT will not only provide local talent with competitive opportunities but also attract new audiences and stimulate investment in the equestrian sport within the Kingdom. This news follows other significant equestrian events scheduled in Saudi Arabia, including the FEI Jumping World Cup, the first of its kind in the Middle East, happening this April, and the World Challenge Championship, slated for 2026.
