Saudi Arabia has taken a major step towards becoming a global motorsport hub with the unveiling of the groundbreaking Speed Park Track in Qiddiya City. This ambitious project aims to elevate the kingdom’s position in the world of racing by attracting the biggest international events.
Located in the heart of Qiddiya City and overlooking the majestic Tuwaiq Mountains, the Speed Park Track boasts cutting-edge technology and unique features like the “Blade,” a 20-story elevated section at turn one, designed to captivate racing fans worldwide.
The track, designed by renowned figures like former F1 driver Alex Wurz and circuit designer Hermann Tilke, features 21 corners and utilizes the city’s landscape for over 100 meters of elevation change per lap. Its configurable design allows for both street circuit and fast open track layouts, catering to various racing needs.
Adding to the excitement, the Speed Park Track seamlessly integrates with surrounding attractions, including a music venue and the world’s tallest rollercoaster, providing an unparalleled experience for spectators. Multiple vantage points and viewing areas ensure thrilling moments for fans.
This project aligns perfectly with Qiddiya’s “power of play” philosophy, which emphasizes the importance of play in human development and social interaction. The unveiling of the Speed Park Track follows the announcements of other major projects in Qiddiya, including the Qiddiya Gaming & esports District and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium. More exciting announcements are expected in the coming weeks, solidifying Qiddiya’s position as a premier destination for entertainment, sports, and culture.
