Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has announced a multi-year strategic partnership with the ATP, the governing body of men’s professional tennis. This collaboration strengthens the kingdom’s presence in the world of international sports.

A joint statement described the partnership as a “significant commitment” to improving tennis globally. While specific investment details were not disclosed, the agreement confirms PIF as the official naming partner of the ATP rankings.

Furthermore, PIF will collaborate with ATP tournaments held in Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, Beijing, and the ATP Finals. Additionally, they will partner with the Next Gen ATP Finals, which will be held in Jeddah until 2027.

ATP CEO Massimo Calvelli expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, calling it “a major moment for tennis.” He highlighted the agreement’s shared goal of propelling the sport forward and PIF’s commitment to fostering innovation and opportunities for future generations.

This partnership follows Saudi Arabia’s successful hosting of its first ATP Tour event – the Next Gen ATP Finals in Jeddah – last year. The kingdom also hosted exhibition matches featuring renowned players like Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, and Ons Jabeur.
