The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has unveiled a new “Port Community System” (PCS) designed to revolutionize the Kingdom’s global logistics landscape. Launched in the third edition of LEAP, this system promises to streamline port operations and boost efficiency by offering over 250 electronic services.
Operating under Mawani’s “Logisti” initiative, the PCS functions as a unified platform, centralizing operations for all stakeholders involved in maritime logistics. This system automates various port processes, fostering seamless data exchange between government and private sectors. Furthermore, the PCS standardizes procedures across Saudi ports and enhances user experience by simplifying interaction between users and service providers within the government sector.
According to Omar Hariri, president of Mawani, the PCS signifies a substantial leap toward achieving the Kingdom’s economic and social goals through the power of digital technology. He highlighted the system’s compliance with international standards and its potential to transform Saudi Arabia’s maritime transport sector.
