Get ready for the thrill of the Dakar Rally returning to Saudi Arabia! The Saudi Motorsport Company, under the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, has revealed the details for the 2025 edition. This marks the sixth year the grueling race will test competitors in the vast Arabian deserts.
The adventure begins on January 3rd, 2025, in Bisha, southern Saudi Arabia. From there, racers will head north along the Red Sea coast before making a sharp east turn towards Shaybah, located deep within the Empty Quarter. Over two weeks, they’ll conquer 950 kilometers of challenging terrain, showcasing the incredible diversity of the Saudi desert landscape.
To make things even more interesting, organizers are planning five stages with separate tracks for different vehicle classes, minimizing car-motorcycle overlaps. Expect a prologue stage, a grueling marathon stage, a mass start stage, and plenty of other surprises to keep the competition fierce. Hundreds of participants are expected to battle it out across various categories, all surrounded by breathtaking scenery and historical sites.
